The Meaning of our Name

You can learn a lot about Chemeketa Community College by understanding the meaning of our name. Chemeketa means "gathering place" in the local Native American language of the Kalapuya. We translate that as "place of peace." We interpret it to mean "you are welcome here."

Find Your Path

Pathways are groups of related academic programs and disciplines. Each pathway includes several tracks that lead to degrees, certificates, and/or transfer opportunities to reach your educational goals.

If you have already completed an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree, you may choose to enroll in Chemeketa’s Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Leadership and Management.
